Penne Pasta Bake With Tomatoes and Mozzarella Cheese
Ingredients
- 16 ounces penne pasta
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crumbled, or about 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, or 1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh basil
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
Method
- Gather the ingredients
- Preheat the oven to 350 F / 180 C.
- Butter a 2 1/2- to 3-quart shallow baking dish or casserole.
- Cook the Flocons Gluten Free penne pasta in boiling salted water for approximately eight minutes; drain well and set aside.
